ERRAND OF FURY

Following the harrowing events of the Errand of Vengeance trilogy, tensions between the Federation and the Klingon Empire are the highest they've been since the Battle of Donatu V twenty-five years earlier. Even as Federation Ambassador Robert Fox engages in tense negotiations with the Klingon ambassador to maintain the peace, Captain James T. Kirk of the Starship Enterprise™ sees his vessel refit from a ship of exploration into a ship of war. The coming conflict will take its toll on many personal lives as well...

Leslie Parrish: The security supervisor is stunned to learn that she is pregnant by her recently killed lover, Jon Anderson -- and that Anderson was, in fact, a Klingon spy, surgically altered to pass as human.

Karel: Brother of the Klingon agent posing as Anderson, and responsible for his death, Captain Koloth's new first officer faces a crisis of faith as he sees the Klingon Empire falling into dishonorable ruin.

Michael Fuller: Father of Enterprise security supervisor Sam Fuller, who was killed in a battle with the Klingons, his son's death reminds him of Donatu V, of which he was one of the few survivors. Has Fuller reenlisted in Starfleet and joined the Enterprise security team out of loyalty -- or vengeance?

The first in an all-new series!

Roger J. Buffington Said: Another good Star Trek yarn ( Aug. 15th 2008 )

Reading Kevin Ryan's "Seeds of Vengeance" and now its continuance in the "Errand of Fury" series is a bit like eating potato chips-- you can't just eat one. These novels are not high literature any more than potato chips represent fine dining. No matter. This series, like its prequel, the "Seeds of Vengeance" trilogy, makes for a fast and engaging read for Star Trek fans. Nothing wrong with that.

In this new series, the Klingon spy Jonathan Anderson is dead, and the Federation is on the brink of war with the Klingon Empire. Some of the characters in the first trilogy are dead, but the continuity as between the novels is maintained, and the reader will do well to read these novels in order.

An enjoyable read for Star Trek fans.

James Yanni Said: Excellent story, a sequel to the author's previous trilogy. ( May. 7th 2007 )

Of course, it continues to have the problem of not having an ending. I prefer multi-part stories in which each part has one complete story-arc of its own, but this is rarely seen, and this book is no exception. It is simply the first third of a story. Other than that I have little to complain about; the plot, pacing, characterizations, action, are all excellent.

L. Brantley Said: Kevin Ryan Strikes Again! A Fast and Furious Star Trek Tale ( Jul. 11th 2005 )

For any Star Trek fan - from the hardcore to the casual - who ever wanted an answer to the question of what all those OTHER crewmen and women were up to on the Enterprise, Kevin Ryan is the must-read author in this Trek universe. His ability to spin richly detailed stories and create sympathatic characters who were, in most cases, passers-by in the TV series, is unmatched. In SEEDS OF RAGE ( a sequel to the Errand of Fury trilogy) we begin - at long last - to understand the human element in the run-up to the Federation/ Klingon war.

We find a father grieving and raging over the death of his son. A career woman at war with herself over an impossible choice. An alien culture fighting to retain its own honor. And all this against the backdrop of a seemingly unaviodable galactic conflict. This is not merely a great Star Trek story. This is a great story, period.

Kevin Ryan's books make for good reading. They are fast, engaging, and true to the source material. Do yourself a favor, and get started on them today!

Jumbo Said: Kevin Ryan is quickly becoming my favorite ST author!!! ( Jun. 28th 2005 )

So far, Mr. Ryan's books have been breaths of fresh air in the ST franchise. He gracefully ties his new adventures to those in the original series. If you're a fan who likes to know what goes on below decks after Kirk calls for "Red Alert," than this books is for you.

I can't wait for the next one!

J. Steele Said: Dedicated to those beyond the main crew. ( Jun. 11th 2005 )

I enjoyed reading Kevin's latest book "Seeds of Rage".
I especially like the way he connected back to the "Errand of Vengeance" series and also the subtle connections made back to the original Star Trek series. The only thing I didn't care for, was that I'll have to wait for the next book. I'm looking forward to reading Part II soon.
