Question: Has the future been delayed (REPOST)?
( Back )
Answer #1:
Logically, The moon landings never happened.Answer #2:
Well, the main reason we haven't gone back to the moon is that gathered samples. We can't go back until we can go back to stay. And there are problems with building permanent settlements in space. Everything is still on the drawing board (or AutoCAD). Establishing permanent settlements on the Moon are the first step to going out to the rest of the Universe. The problem is with Technology. Specifically, the means of keeping humans alive in deep space, without resupply. Once we got that done, everything will explode (using a figure of speech).Answer #3:
The future is coming at us so fast now that most people can't keep up. Much of the advancement affects how many of us (not just 20 test pilots) live and work and play every day.As an aside, the Great Pyramid of Giza was finished around 2560 BC after 20 years of construction. Do you suppose that 40 years later, people started grumbling about all the squandered possibilities in the promising field of stonemasonry?
